Lisa Olson was born on September 8, 1974, and brought to the Kasturba Medical College in Manipal, India. Soon after her birth, her parents, who were believed to have been poor with several children at home, abandoned Lisa at the hospital.
Everyone faces challenges throughout their lives. Born without arms or legs, Lisa Olson learned to face challenges many people would view as insurmountable. But the Lord’s divine hand has been evident since Lisa's birth.
